Lesson 6.3 ยท Measurement and Data
Sorting into groups
When you clean up toys, you put cars in one bin and blocks in another. That is sorting. Sorting puts things that are alike into the same group.
Pick a rule
To sort, choose a rule. The rule tells where each thing goes. You can sort by:
- Color: red things, blue things
- Shape: circles, squares
- Size: big things, small things
- Kind: fruits, animals, toys
Definition
